Speaker Bios
We are honored to have the following keynotes, conference speakers, panelists and workshop instructors contribute their expertise to the 2022 NY Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference.

Opening Keynote

  Dora Gomez, MS, CFE, CRMA, GRCP, GRCA
FinCrime, Fraud, and Compliance Leader, EY

Dora Gomez is the current President of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners New York Chapter (NYCFE), Audit Committee Chair for the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), Board Director of InfraGard's New York Metro Chapter (affiliated with the FBI) and the recipient of the 2019 InfraGard Northeast Region IMA Leadership Award, and Steering Committee Member for the New York Metro Joint Cyber Security Conference.

She has predominantly worked in the financial services sector tackling enterprise wide risks in various roles within Internal Audit, Fraud Risk Management, and GRC. Her passion as a fraud fighter is to ensure organizations are more proactive in minimizing fraud losses by re-evaluating these risks and thinking like a fraudster!

  Richard Thieme
Professional Author/Speaker, ThiemeWorks

Richard Thieme (www.thiemeworks.com) is an author/professional speaker who addresses challenges posed by new technologies, how to redesign ourselves to meet these challenges, and creativity in response to radical change. His speaking addresses "the human in the machine," technology-related security and intelligence issues as they come home to our humanity. He has published hundreds of articles, dozens of stories, seven books, and has delivered hundreds of speeches. He spoke in 2022 at Def Con for the 26th year where he was honored him as the first "uber contributor.". He has keynoted security conferences in 15 countries and clients range from GE, Microsoft, Medtronic, Bank of America, Allstate Insurance, and Johnson Controls to the NSA, FBI, US Dept of the Treasury. Los Alamos Lab, the Pentagon Security Forum, and the US Secret Service. His latest book is "Mobius: A Memoir," a novel about an intelligence professional, that is receiving great reviews. The sequel, "The Mobius Vector: The Long Road Home," is ready for publication, and the third book in the Mobius trilogy, "Mobius Out of Time," is in progress. Niloufer is a risk management professional and help companies launch profitable products and services by managing technology and business risks. She holds multiple certifications in IT Security (CISSP, CCSP), Audit (CISA, CIA), and Fraud (CFE). Niloufer is a Certified Public Account licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

United States Patent Office has granted her two patents for "System For And Method of Generating Visual Passwords" (US 9,171,143 B2) and "Establishing An Alternate Call Path Using Short-Range Wireless Technology" (US 9,392,523).
  Kathy Braun, MBA, CCE
Director/Business Information Security Advisor for Cyber Security & Information Technology, WheelsUp

Kathy Braun managed a Cybersecurity business for over 20 years providing senior advisory services in the areas of Cybersecurity and Information Security programs.

Specialties: Leadership experience in Cybersecurity including Computer Forensics and Incident Response working with both the government and private sector providing services in both criminal and civil litigation as well as develop Enterprise Risk Management programs.
  Mary Frantz
Managing Partner, CISO, Enterprise Knowledge Partners, LLC

Mary Frantz is the Managing Partner and Founder of EKP. Mary is the acting lead over the Information Technology practice area. During the past 25 years Mary has held consulting and leadership positions in the areas of Information Technology Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Cyber Incident Response, and Big Data. She is a court vetted expert in cyber security, data breach, cloud-based delivery models, breach remediation and forensics. She is a keynote speaker, author, and adjunct professor, and she is passionate about promoting STEM opportunities for women and minorities. Mary graduated from Northern Illinois University with a quadruple major. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Master's in Computer Science Engineering from Georgia Tech. In addition to her university education she holds multiple certifications in technology, information security, eDiscovery and audit. She sits on the advisory board of the Cyber Security Summit, Enterprising Women Foundation, Minnesota Academy of Science and is noted as one of the top 100 STEM CEOs.
  John C. Checco, C|CISO, CISSP, CCSK, CSSLP, Boardroom Certified QTE
President, ISSA NY Metro Chapter

John Checco is President of the not-for-profit NY Metro Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association, past President for the NY Metro InfraGard Members Alliance, an appointed member to Strategic Content Advisory Board of the Wall Street Technology Association, and belongs to a variety of local information security organizations. He has also presented at the HackNYC, FS-ISAC and at various cybersecurity chapter meetings.
  Sandip Dholakia
Principal Information Security Architect, SAP Trust Office

Sandip is an accomplished Information Security professional with solid experience in Security Architecture, Risk Assessment & Mitigation, Cloud Security and Security Assurance & Compliance. He managed end-to-end security activities for a large functional unit, implemented security measures across the complete System Development Life Cycle while enforcing enterprise IT security policies and industry best practices, and streamlined security review process and automated security metrics reporting - resulting in savings of more than $350,000/year.

  Paul Greif
Director, Global Cloud Security, SAP Trust Office

Paul Greif manages a global team of Security Architects and Contract Advisors, assesses security and privacy risks over all SAP products and solutions, reviews and evaluates security contract deviations and manage Executive Board escalations, and collaborate with legal, compliance, and operation teams to align risk mitigation options.
